To add your data to the FBKB database you need to request an account. Once you have
an account, login and click the "Add Site" button to begin creating a site and adding data.
To request an FBKB account, click the login button and then click the "Request an Account" link. Fill out the form and click the submit button. You will receive an e-mail from an FBKB administrator with your account information once it has been created.
To add a fire burn site to the FBKB you must first have an FBKB account. Once you have an account, click the "Add Site" button on the left hand side to begin the process of adding a site to the FBKB database. Sites added by you will only be visible by you until it has been approved and added to the public database.
You can add an observation to a site created by you or a site in the public database. Only you will be able to see the data in the observation until it has been approved for the public database. To add an observation, click the "Add Observation" button in the left have side and begin entering data.
You can only update observations which you have added and which are not yet in the public database. To update an observation, cluick the "Update Observation" button on the left hand side. A list of sites with observations created by you will appear. Select a site from the list and then select the specific observation you wish to update.
Once you are satisfied with the data you have entered, click the "Submit Data" button on the observation update page. You will be requried to fill out a short form about the data you have entered and then youc an submit it for review. You will receive a reply from the FBKB administration if your data has been accepted or rejected.
You can submit your sites and observation for entry in the public database when you have entered as much data as possible for your site.
Site observations will be inputted into the Master Database as soon as we have run a Quality Control on the data. The time is also based on the website activity, and the number of databases received to be inserted into the Master Database. We will email you when your data has been entered into the Master Database, and FBKB will prompt you that updates have been made and are ready for download if you are connected to the internet.
To ensure your data gets submitted into the Master Database, be sure to fill out all possible site observation fields within FBKB. Also, be sure to fill out as much information possible in the FBKB registration when uploading your personal database.
